Blasting out of the musical wasteland known as Charlotte NC, The Tombstone Daddys have been blurring the lines between rock, honky tonk, and punk since 1994. Once the house band at Tabloids in Charlotte, The Tombstone Daddys reformed with a new lineup and began working on new songs in the winter of 2000. The past few years have seen them putting out impressive work that's earned The Daddys praise from bands like The Belmont Playboys and The Three Bad Jacks. Over the years, they've shared the stage with artists as diverse as Billy Joe Winghead, Rocket 350, The Immortal Lee County Killers, Mary Prankster, and the Crank County Daredevils. The Daddys have  opened for veteran rockers Poison, Cinderella, and Faster Pussycat as well as taking the stage at the Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston Salem, NC for 2 of the last 3 years. (see pics page).

Described as Jason and the Scorchers meets the late-60's Rolling Stones, The Tombstone Daddys are finding a solid niche in the budding y'alternative and cowpunk music scene. Having played shows from Virginia to Georgia, The Daddys are always looking for cool places to play. Watch for them coming to a city near YOU!

As described in Atlanta's Creative Loafing:
Seven hard years on the Southern club circuit have served the Daddys well, their scrappy live experience fueled by twin guitars, a ruthless rhythm section and a combined upbringing colored by a wealth of influences...This Charlotte, N.C., quintet is hillbilly-minus-the-kitsch country with a cranky blues temperament, punk with a spine flexible enough for the dance floor at the local juke joint.
(Hobart Rowland)
